Eight year old Maxi arrived here in September 2005 in poor condition and emotionally blank, with no tail wag in sight. She was singled out by a woman who works as a nurse, and the accompanying photo, though a bit blurry, shows Maxi just melting in her arms, less than 12 hours after having met her. Maxi is now happily living in the UK and loves to go running on the beach!
