This little man generated
more interest in the past several months than all the dogs combined, even from
as far away as Canada!
But his new home is here in Ireland, with Gill and Cormac, a lovely canine
girlfriend called Cherry, and Randall-the-cat-who-takes-no-prisoners.
From a sad start to a happy new life, you have come a very long way in just a
few short months, Christopher, and you are a very lucky boy!
Christopher Lurcher arrived
here in very poor condition and looking like a very old dog.
Closer inspection and a little digging about his background has revealed he is
somewhere between 1 and 2 years old, and has had a rather sad beginning in
life.
He gets along very well with all the dogs here, though does not choose to
interact with the group as much as the others do.
He so far is very good off leash in large open areas, and chooses to stay fairly
close to me.
Christopher responds well to his name already, and is very clean in the
house.
He spends a lot of time sleeping, making up for lost time and still going
through a healing process.
His eyes are brighter now and he tries to play with me sometimes, and leaps
around like a little goat!
He does love a good run with the other dogs, and for such a small boy he is
incredibly fast.
At this point, however, he tires easily, and goes right back the house to his
bed.
He is very good on the leash and in the car, and so far seems to be quite good
with cats.
He is an undemanding and very quiet little man who deserves a nice home after
all he has been through.
Christopher's first night
here, Big Brus parked himself next to Christopher and kept him company through
the night.

Christopher looks a lot
like my own Josef, though he is significantly smaller.
