Assisted Adoptions

Most of the time, Orchard Greyhound Sanctuary adopts its dogs directly into permanent homes.
However, there are times when people known to Orchard offer to foster a dog in their own home until a permanent home is found for it, or a reliable rescue in the UK is fairly certain they can home a particular dog quickly. In such cases, the dog stays here for only a short period of time - usually in order to rest up and recover, get vaccinated, etc - and then moves on to the UK.

Johnny, a young greyhound cross, was found at the back entrance of a large food store, begging in the pouring rain.
Thin, dehydrated, full of fleas, and just plain manky, he was offered a place in the UK very quickly and has since been homed.
