Sofi
Sofi is a young lurcher - probably no more than 2 years old - and she has not had a good life.
She apparently was running loose on a housing estate for a very long time, eating from bins and what ever people would throw to her.
She arrived VERY fearful of people and has a long way to go before being confident in public places or even at home with new people.
The good news is that she is extremely intelligent, and has made great progress with myself and two volunteer-friends.
She is amazingly agile and would make a wonderful agility dog should anyone be willing to take on Sofi as a project.
For those she trusts, Sofi is affectionate and biddable, and just adores other dogs and gets along with all of them.
There is not a nasty bone in her body.
Sofi will need a well-secured garden as she is quite the escape artist, though when she escapes she goes nowhere and ends up at my front door.
PROVISIONALLY BOOKED: The owners of Christopher (see Adopted Dogs) have kindly and generously been visiting once a week to help with socialising Sofi. They might end up adopting her, though right now for various strategic reasons it is uncertain. If you think you might have the experience and patience to take on Sofi yourself, then do send an email with some background information. What is most important is to make sure Sofi finds a responsible, permanent home.
