Dailtín

Tiny Dailtín (meaning "imp" in Irish) is a very tiny pure greyhound who was found in someone's front garden on a bitter cold Monday morning in January 2010. She was extremely thin, in very poor coat (from mange), and was unable to use one of her back legs. She spent 5 days at a local vet's, and by the time she left, her weight had gone up to 20kg....considering her ideal weight would probably be 25kg, she still had a long way to go. However, Dailtín has a BIG personality, and she is a charming little monkey, happy to meet new people and giving them a toothy grin when she first meets them. Her back leg has now been x-rayed, and we now know she has a broken femur that never was tended to properly when it first happened. It is still very slowly mending, and she will always have one back leg a bit shorter than the other......this does not, however, stop her at all from scurrying around the house or flying up and down the stairs!
Dailtín is just 3 years old 2010, and is a very clever darling, afraid of no one and getting along with everyone. Her once raggedy coat is now absolutely gleaming, and she is the picture of health. She is excellent in the car, on the leash and in and around the house, and she will make a very entertaining and devoted pet for the right person or persons!
