Ayhash
Ayhash is a phonetic spelling of the Hungarian word for "hungry" and that's just what this skinny boy was when he arrived in late October!
Picked up as a stray and placed in one of the Dublin pounds, this poor fellow was delighted to start getting two hot meals a day, a soft, warm, dry, comfy and quiet place to sleep, a grassy field to play in and 3 very friendly greyhounds for company.
Just 3 and half years old, his last race 18 months ago, it's impossible to know where he has been in the meantime.
This unassuming and very grateful boy has a smashing dark brindle coat, and these night-time photos will soon be replaced with daylight photos to show it off.
This is a dog who has not seen very many good days in recent months, and he literally barks with happiness when he sees people coming. So far he seems to have a lot of positive potential, and is likely to make an excellent companion.
Ayhash has gone to live with a couple in the North
Early signs are that he is settling in very well and is happy to have found his own people.
New photos to follow soon.
